My Story

Hi There – Thank you so much for checking out my blog!

In May of 2014 I crossed the stage at my university and accepted my diploma. I had been planning for  that day as long as I can remember actually.

In June 2014 I moved 600 miles from home to start my career. Unlike my graduation, this is the part I hadn’t planned for. I planned my university, classes, internships, and my entry level  job. But beyond that… nothing.

I didn’t have a plan for the next steps. I spent so much of my life focusing on this pivotal moment, envisioning my graduation, that I hadn’t taken a look at what was right in front of me… my impending post grad life… my professional career… becoming a post grad professional.

There is so much fear, anxiety, excitement and experiences after leaving campus. People have told me that college will be the best years of your life. Yet, shortly after graduation I have experienced enough to say that I would have to disagree.

Do I miss it? One hundred percent. Do I want to go back? Absolutely not. I am thrilled to have a new adventure.

Whether you are a post grad, soon to be, or well on your way in the working world – I started this blog to share my advice, struggles, goals and lessons learned. I hope you find the inspiration through my stories to create your own success!

Best of luck,

Katie

  6. In the same situation! Everything was preparation for the next semester and for graduation, and it’s a total culture shock leaving that structure and entering the real world! Sure is fun though :)
